Rhymes and Paradigms

“We are no other than a moving row
Of Magic Shadow-shapes that come and go
Round with the Sun-illumined Lantern held
In Midnight by the Master of the Show.”

– fr. Rubaiyat, Omar Khayyam (1050? – 1122)

(for naughty “bodega-boys-and-girls”)

evoke no mantras that can provoke
tempt no king to relinquish his yoke
cast no curses that can haunt like ghost
engage no foe if you can’t pay cost

take no risk unmeasured, at the least
evade no romance not in your list
revel so blithe by the lives you live
ever carefree with much “luv” to give.

a  Mikee crying and a Debbie prying
is a Nards playing.

a Fe cautious and a Celeste conscious
is a Vangie obvious.

 a Jazzy-carefree and an Ida-so-free
is a Papa Sonny.

a sure Rowel and a demure Ofel
is nothing special.)

– mischief is between boys and girls.
