Migrants

MIGRANTS
(We are artisans in the trades of life.
We clasp double-braids to earn our meal.
We are partisans in the glades of strife.
We grasp double-blades when pocket’s nil.)

(sitting in my car
watching people
come and go –)

everybody
is going places;

walking or riding
to somewhere
from anywhere…

itinerants!

(coming is leaving; leaving is coming.

between coming and leaving is staying.
between leaving and coming is going.

arrival is not departure; departure is not arrival.

between arrival and departure is dwell.
between departure and arrival is travel.)

– destination
is between
a walk and a ride.
