Lunar Legacy

“Useless the moon, without romance.”
– Edgar Ramos

(The moon, a silent witness
to the “affairs” of man)

nowhere now, is the moon,
where only last night it swelled…
… bright.

on borrowed light
it sprayed moon dust:
brilliant showers amid
muffled mumbles from

the shadows mute –

a lovers’ moon, they say,
as thru ages, thru sages,
its lunar legacy
is bequeathed fantasy.

the moon, I miss…

… and the moonbeam’s sheen
on her eyes, as we left

the shadows mute –

moan and groan
is moon.)
