Silent Shadow

“It’s my turn
To try and find my way
And if I should get lost
At least I’m home today
It’s my turn
Yes, it’s my turn.”

– fr. lyrics of It’s My Turn, Diana Ross

SILENT SHADOW
(for Trinitte C., 1982)

evening shade falls, silent;
telling me of warm caress…
mute is the shadow
most intimate (at home)
with a quiet ground –

touching
weightless, heightless;
caressing
breadthless, breathless.

the silence I hear
from shadow voiceless
reminds me of you near;
for in absolute stillness

i feel your silent touch.

– between
you and me
is shadow.

(c) 1982 Chito L. Aguilar
