what hex does woman wield
that man should woe and wince
notwithstanding her fickleness?

why must valiant man yield
timid as forlorn prince
to her callous capriciousness?

oh, woman from man’s grid
you have reviled man since
an Eden’s Eve became temptress!

faithful and unfaithful
